Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the Vale Payments website and platform. By opening an account you agree to them, along with any additional terms that apply to a specific product or market.

Who we are

Vale Payments is a financial technology company. We are not a bank. Accounts, payment execution and currency conversion are provided through regulated partner institutions that hold the relevant licences in the markets they serve. Vale provides the software you use to access those services.

Eligibility and verification

You must be of legal age in your country and able to enter a binding contract. Before your account becomes operational you must complete identity verification, and for companies, verification of the business and its beneficial owners. We may decline an application, or request further information at any time, where required by law or our partners' requirements.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and only for activity you have accurately described to us. You must not use Vale for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud, or any activity prohibited by our partners or by applicable law.

You are responsible for the accuracy of payment instructions. Payments sent to incorrect recipient details may not be recoverable.

Fees and exchange rates

Opening and holding an account carries no monthly fee. Fees apply to currency conversion and payouts, and the applicable rate and fee are displayed before you confirm a transaction. Third-party bank charges, where they arise, are passed through and shown in your transaction history.

Your funds

Customer funds are held in segregated accounts at partner institutions and are not used for Vale's own business purposes. Balances held with us are not deposits with Vale and the specific protections that apply depend on the partner institution and jurisdiction covering your account.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account where we are legally required to, where we reasonably suspect fraud or prohibited activity, where verification cannot be completed, or where these terms are breached. You may close your account at any time, subject to settlement of pending transactions and any retention obligations that apply to us.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the platform available and accurate but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, and settlement times depend on third parties including receiving banks and local payment systems. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will publish the revised date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to account holders. Questions can be sent to hello@valepayments.com.

This page is a plain-language summary provided for convenience and is not legal advice. Before launch, have your final policy reviewed by a qualified lawyer in each market you operate in, so that it reflects your actual data practices, partner arrangements and local regulatory obligations.
