Invoicing

Built for people who bill across borders

Everything on the invoice, including how your client actually pays it.

Your branding

Add your logo, business details and payment terms once, then reuse them on every invoice you send.

One link to pay

Share a hosted payment page instead of a PDF attachment. Your client sees the amount, the reference and exactly how to pay.

Line items and tax

Break work into line items with quantities, rates and any tax or discount you need to show, and let the total calculate itself.

Status you can see

Follow each invoice from draft to sent, viewed and paid, so you know whether to chase before you pick up the phone.

Reuse and duplicate

Copy last month's invoice for a retainer client, change the dates, and send it again in seconds.

Records for your accountant

Every invoice and the payment that settled it stay linked in your ledger, ready to export at the end of the period.

How it works

From draft to settled

  1. 1

    Build the invoice

Pick a client, add your line items, choose the currency you want to be paid in, and set a due date and payment terms.

  2. 2

    Send the link

Share the hosted invoice page by email or any channel you like. Your client sees the amount due and the local account details to pay into.

  3. 3

    Get paid and reconcile

The payment lands in your Vale balance, the invoice flips to paid automatically, and you can withdraw or convert whenever you want.

Invoicing FAQ

Questions about invoicing

What people ask before sending their first invoice through Vale.

Yes. When the payment arrives against the invoice reference, the invoice status updates automatically and the settled payment stays linked to it in your records.

You can invoice in any currency we support for receiving. The funds arrive in that currency and you decide whether to keep the balance or convert it, with the rate shown before you confirm.

You can build and save drafts straight away, but you need to complete verification before your account details go live and an invoice can be paid. Verification is usually finished the same day.
